Comparison

What the other options cost, as far as they will say.

Everything below was read from each company’s own pricing page on 10 October 2026. Where a company does not publish a price, this page says so rather than repeating a number from a review site.

HOA Engine is one price for any size: $99 a month, or $990 a year. A smaller association pays no less, and a larger one pays no more.

Three differences worth knowing

We publish what we charge.

Three of the five above will not tell you their price without a sales conversation. You can read ours, decide, and sign up without speaking to anyone. The only other charge is $150, once, if you want your own web address instead of the one included.

Your dues go to your Stripe account, not ours.

Your association connects its own Stripe account. Residents’ payments land there and Stripe pays out to your bank — the money never passes through us, and we take no percentage of it. PayHOA charges 3.5% + $0.50 on cards; standard Stripe pricing is 2.9% + $0.30, so on a $400 dues payment a resident pays about $2.60 less.

You can take everything with you.

One button exports your whole association — every record and every stored file, with a manifest and checksums — and we keep a tested script that restores it. If you leave, you leave with your data, and your Stripe account stays yours.

Where the others are ahead

HOA Engine is new. The companies above have years of customers, support teams, and features shaped by thousands of associations. We have none of that yet, and no amount of comparison table can substitute for it.

So this page compares what can be compared honestly: published prices, payment costs, and whether you own your data and your payment account. If you need a vendor with a long track record, one of them is the better answer today, and we would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
